SPCA of Northern Nevada Youth Summer Camp
Join us for an aMEOWzing and WOOFderful week of all things cats and dogs here at the SPCA-NN! Campers will participate in a safe, positive, and educational week packed with fun, engaging activities, games and crafts to foster curiosity and a love of animals.
Camp activities are led by our expert staff and trained volunteers! Topics include:
- How to read dog/cat behavior
- Behavior training dogs and cats
- Pet health and safety
- How our staff help animals in need
- What our veterinarians do
- And much, much, much more!
SUPER FUN activities include:
- Making yummy treats for the pets
- Crafting special kennel cards
- Scavenger hunts
- One-on-one time with our Veterinarians & Clinic Team
- Animal welfare games and crafts
*Children are always supervised by trained staff when around the animals, and activities are led in a safe, controlled environment. This camp is NOT a peanut-free environment.
Week 1: Ages 8-10June 24-28, 2024
WEEK 1 AGE GROUP: 8-10 years
DATES: Monday-Friday, June 24-28
TIME: 9am-5pm (drop-off 8:30am/pick-up by 5:30pm)
WHERE: SPCA of Northern Nevada Adoption Center, 4950 Spectrum Blvd.
PRICE: $250 per child
Week 2: Ages 11-13July 15-19, 2024
WEEK 2 AGE GROUP: 11-13 years
DATES: Monday-Friday, July 15-19
TIME: 9am-5pm (drop-off 8:30am/pick-up by 5:30pm)

PRICE: $250 per child

The SPCA of Northern Nevada provides one scholarship for each week of summer camp. The scholarship will be awarded based on financial need (tax return documentation will be required), as well as the child’s expressed interest and involvement in animal welfare.
