The SPCA of Northern Nevada has temporarily closed our Adoption Center for essential and urgent HVAC repairs. We will be reopening in early March.
As a result of the closure, we must also pause our affordable community spay/neuter program (SNYPS) for the month of February. Unfortunately, this means we will not have any available appointments during this period.
However, we remain committed to supporting our community. In February, we will distribute 80 spay/neuter vouchers that can be redeemed at our trusted partner clinics. The pricing remains the same: $130 for dogs and $50 for cats. Applications for these vouchers will open at 8 a.m. on February 11th.
This necessary repair is an opportunity to create a safer, more comfortable environment for the homeless pets we care for and to enhance the working conditions for our hardworking staff. With these improvements, we will be better equipped to continue saving and improving the lives of pets and the people who love them.
Please consider adopting, fostering, donating, or shopping at our Thrift Store to support our lifesaving mission during this critical period.
Together, we can navigate this temporary challenge and emerge stronger for the pets and people who depend on us.

Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back in March! 💜
With gratitude,
The SPCA of Northern Nevada Team
