We save and improve the lives of pets and people.
How Adoption Works
SPCA of Northern Nevada believes in an open, conversation-based adoption process that carefully matches the lifestyle and expectations of adopters with the personalities and needs of our homeless pets. This approach gives adopted pets and their adopters the greatest chance for a successful, loving life together!
Find a dog or puppy who is ready to be loved by you.
Find cats or kittens who are looking for a loving home.
Spay & Neuter (SNYPS)
Our affordable spay/neuter clinic for dogs and cats is available to northern Nevada residents with a total household income of $60,000 or less.
There are many reasons why you should spay/neuter your pet:
- To help mitigate the high national rate of companion animal euthanasia
- To prevent unwanted pregnancies and litters
- To help your pet live a longer, healthier life
Vaccination & Microchip Clinic
We offer an affordable vaccine and microchip clinic, generally held the second Thursday of the month from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the holiday season, the vaccine and microchip clinic dates may be adjusted.
Todd's Medical Fund
SPCA of Northern Nevada (SPCA-NN) wants to help keep pets in their loving homes and out of the sheltering system. One way we are helping is with Todd’s Medical Fund, which provides financial assistance to qualifying people who can’t otherwise afford necessary veterinary services. Click below to learn more.
