2023 has brought challenges and growth to the Biggest Little Rescue! Overall, we are incredibly grateful for your continued commitment and generosity. We can’t do the lifesaving work we do without YOU!
We want to remind our supporters that rescue and adoption are only part of what we do. SPCA of Northern Nevada (SPCA-NN) has the most robust community pet services in our entire region. Our affordable spay/neuter clinic continues to operate three days per week, filling appointments quickly. Additionally, our innovative Todd’s Medical Fund serves hundreds of pets whose guardians need help paying veterinary bills.
This past year we also launched our volunteer fueled program, Wellness Waggin’, helping pets get to their Options and SPCA-NN appointments. We also launched our Heal House Call veterinarian program to improve access to care for our community!
Yet, our community continues to see an increase in homeless pets. This increase has pushed shelter capacity to its limits throughout northern Nevada, illustrating the impact of the current housing crisis, struggling economy, and limited access to affordable spay/neuter.
Thanks to your ongoing support, the dedication of our volunteers, and the tireless efforts of our team, SPCA-NN remains dedicated to serving our community’s pets and their people despite the challenges!
