Our Thrift Team directly fuels our lifesaving mission by generating essential funding for homeless pets in our care. Beyond retail, the team creates meaningful community connections through events, outreach, and in-store engagement that spotlight our adoptable pets and programs. Every sale helps support medical care, shelter, and second chances for pets in northern Nevada.

SPCA of Northern Nevada’s Thrift Store is seeking a positive, customer-focused individual who enjoys building connections and working as part of a collaborative team. About You:
- Customer Service Experience: At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and cash-handling best practices
- Engaging Personality: Enthusiastic about providing courteous and helpful service to customers
- Reliable and Team-oriented: Energized by a collaborative environment and effective at tackling projects.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of being on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
Responsibilities:
- Engage customers in a friendly and respectful manner
- Operate Point-Of-Sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Collaborate effectively with the team, practicing active listening and clear communication
- Cross-train with the donation intake and distribution associates
- Flexibility to perform additional tasks as assigned
