Volunteer

SPCA of Northern Nevada volunteers donate their time, compassion, and talent to make every day special for the animals waiting for their forever homes. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and help fulfill our mission within the adoption center, thrift store, and in the community.

The decision to volunteer should be made with the understanding of the commitment and requirements it demands. All volunteers must be 18 year of age or older. If you are between 8–17 years of age, you may volunteer with a parent or legal guardian who is also a volunteer with our cats, or you can volunteer from age 12-17 with a parent or guardian with our dogs, as well. Please note all volunteers under the age of 18 must have their parent/guardian accompany them to all training and must accompany them during all volunteer activities.

Also, if you are a student volunteering to complete hours for an academic requirement of any kind, you must inform Nayla, the Volunteer Manager,  BEFORE training to understand the minimum hour requirement for animal socialization.

Thank you for considering donating your time and love to the SPCA of Northern Nevada.
