(Reno, NV) – SPCA of Northern Nevada (SPCA) is looking for a forever home for a special nine week old kitten named Twister. We do not know if Twister was born with a handicap or if she dislocated her ankle and it healed incorrectly. Her back leg is bent backward and she walks on the middle part of her leg. We are looking for a family that will care for Twister. She may need to see an Orthopedic Veterinarian if it ever becomes painful and difficult for her to walk. Right now she is a vibrant little kitten that moves faster than you would expect, even with her disability. She is playful, confident and social. She will be spayed today and will be available for adoption in 48 hours. If families are interested in adopting Twister (nicknamed Kickstand) please call the SPCA at 775-324-7773.
She has become a celebrity with the staff and has found a special place in our hearts because she doesn’t seem to mind that she does not walk normal. In fact, she has found her own way of getting around. Adopting any animal can be expensive, but we want families to know there is the potential that Twister may need medical care above and beyond what is considered standard. To see all our animals available for adoption please visit spcanevada.org.
The SPCA relies solely on donations from our community. If you would like to make a one-time, monthly or yearly donation, please visit spcanevada.org or call 775-324-7773 x204. The shelter is always in need of dog and cat food, bleach, hand wipes, paper towels and other necessities. A full list of items is available online.
