For many pet parents, the goal is simple: To give their pet a healthy, happy life.
Sometimes, the cost of care gets in the way.
That’s where SPCA of Northern Nevada steps in.
Through our SNYPS program, we provide affordable spay and neuter services—removing barriers and supporting pets and the people who love them.
SPCA-NN fixed 3,671 pets in 2025!
This work starts with a single appointment.
It prevents the next litter.
It keeps pets healthier.
And it helps families stay together.
In 2025, our veterinary team performed more than 3,600 spay and neuter surgeries. We’re working to exceed that this year.
Each surgery performed represents a pet who received the care they needed… and a future that looks a lot different because of it.
One unspayed cat can have 12–20 kittens in a single year.
One unspayed dog can have up to 20 puppies in a year.
For pet parents in our community, programs like SNYPS mean access, relief, and the ability to keep their pets healthy and at home.
“It was very affordable to come here. It was very accessible. But beyond that, it was the kindness, punctuality, and care. Our pets did not suffer any side effects.” – David | SNYPS Program Client
SNYPS (spay/neuter) is the most effective tool to reduce overpopulation before it starts.
And it’s made possible because people choose to help.
