Wellness Waggin': Program Participation Inquiry

Equal Access to Transportation for Vet Appointments

Wellness Waggin’ is an innovative solution for community members who want to provide necessary medical care for their pets, but don’t have transportation to do so. This could be due to a number of barriers such as financial limitations and/or health issues, as well as elderly members of our community who do not have the ability to drive.
Because the program is in its pilot year, the Wellness Waggin’ currently works solely with established patients at Options Veterinary. Wellness Waggin’ is a volunteer-operated program, and our volunteers drive pets to and from scheduled appointments in our SPCA-NN transfer van.
Please note, we do not transport pet owners – only the pet. Transportation is for non-emergency conditions. If your pet is experiencing a life threatening medical emergency and needs immediate care, please contact the nearest emergency veterinarian office, such as Animal Emergency and Specialty Center at 775-851-3600. Completion of this form does NOT guarantee a ride for your pet on the Wellness Waggin’. Please allow our team 48 business hours to review your inquiry about the Wellness Waggin’.

Jackie's Community Cats: Program Participation Application

Help cats in your community.

Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) is a humane program aimed at helping our community to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and care for unowned community cats.
We will be offering trap rentals to approved community volunteers and colony caretakers. SPCA of Northern Nevada will pay for approved expenses including vaccination, sterilization, and receiving an ear tip to signify that they have undergone sterilization surgery. These services will be done by our veterinary clinic partner Options veterinary Care.
We will instruct you on how to bring your approved cats in for surgery and assist you with scheduling once you fill out the form below.
By trapping, altering, and returning cats to their homes, community volunteers and colony caretakers will help stabilize cat populations, educate caretakers, and address community concerns regarding local cat populations.
