The Story Behind Nacho’s Fuzzballs
Nacho’s Fuzzballs began with two dedicated cat dads and one very special kitty named Nacho.
After losing his beloved Nacho, his dad wanted to find a meaningful way to honor him while helping other pets still waiting for families of their own. Together with a friend, he created the first Nacho’s Fuzzballs Bowling Tournament to raise awareness and funds for SPCA of Northern Nevada and our lifesaving mission.
What began as a passion project has grown year after year into something incredibly special.
Now in its fourth year, Nacho’s Fuzzballs has become a community tradition its organizers are incredibly proud of—and one we are deeply grateful to be part of. From organizing teams and prizes to bringing people together around a cause they care about, they put an incredible amount of time, energy, and heart into making this event happen.
It’s a beautiful reminder that the love we have for one pet can go on to change the lives of so many more. 💜
