Each Monday in August, you can dine with your dog and save homeless pets! Wild River Grille is donating a portion of your meal to the SPCA of Northern Nevada when you bring your pooch.

Pooch Parade at Del Webb

Join the SPCA of NN at Del Webb on August 18th for an entertaining “Pooch Parade!” Bring your dog and enter them in fun contests like Best Kisser, Look-alike, and Best Dressed, and many more! You could even win some fun prizes with a raffle! There will be food and drinks and all you need to bring is a lawn chair and your pooch! The event starts at 11 am and goes until 1 pm. We hope to see you there!

A wedding will take place at the SPCA of Northern Nevada to help save homeless dogs cats puppies and kittens in Reno

Thursday, May 24th Congratulations to Cameron and Carolyn – an amazing couple who has decided to get married at the SPCA of Northern Nevada! Their ceremony hopes to honor the rescue pets who the SPCA saves and after their nuptials, they’ll be taking pictures with the pets in the hope that this will help find them loving homes of their own! (The ceremony is a small, private event, but be sure to keep an eye out for the photos following their marriage!)

The SPCA of Northern Nevada will be closed for Pet Adoptions. You can adopt a puppy or kitten in Reno tomorrow when we return to regular hours.

Monday May 28th – the SPCA of Northern Nevada Adoption Center will be closed in honor of Memorial Day. The SPCA Thrift Store, located at 401 Vine Street, will be open for business! Please visit the Thrift Store from 10 am to 6 pm. It’s the only Thrift Store in Reno where your purchases directly save the lives of homeless pets!

 

Saturday, June 2nd – Reno Media Group’s Fam Fest – the definition of a family friendly event! Join the SPCA and Reno Media Group (plus many others) at Rancho San Rafael Park for Fam Fest! The event is free to attend and will have lots of fun and games and food! Learn more on Facebook.

Natural paws in reno is holding an event to help homeless cats and dogs called Hike for Hounds.

Sunday, June 3rdHike for Hounds! Natural Paws in Reno is putting together an incredible event at Galena Creek Regional Park! Bring your furry family with you and take the easy, 2 mile walk through the pines at Galena Creek to benefit homeless pets! The entrance fee is $30 and all proceeds from the event will benefit both the SPCA of Northern Nevada and CRCS! After your walk, stick around for a fun raffle and to check out the amazing vendors. The SPCA will join mini of Reno for a bulldog beauty contest

 

June 16th – Join the SPCA of Northern Nevada at Mini of Reno for the 8th annual Bulldog Beauty Contest! You could win big, plus you can come hang with SPCA volunteers and maybe even some adoptables! Learn more: https://www.facebook.com/events/237282653681763/

The SPCA will be closed to celebrate independence day but you can adopt a kitten or a puppy in reno the following day.

Wednesday, July 4th – the SPCA of Northern Nevada Adoption Center and Thrift Store will be closed in honor of Independence Day. Both locations will open with regular hours on July 5th.
