In Response to COVID-19
We take the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers, pets, and clients very seriously. Please read how our adoption center and thrift store are working to do our part so you feel safe coming to visit our pets.
Meeting and Adopting Pets at our Adoption Center
Our life-saving mission remains the same during this difficult time of uncertainty, and we want you to come visit our available pets. We always strive to keep our facility as clean as possible for our pets and community, however, the following measures have been added to ensure safe visits:
- We have added handwashing stations in our lobby and are requiring people to wash their hands before entering our adoption center and visiting our furry friends.
- We have hand sanitizer outside of pet visiting areas and are requiring people to sanitize their hands in between petting our fuzzy friends.
- We have implemented a “wipe down” system every hour. Our staff has always been diligent about mopping and cleaning commonly touched surfaces but now we’re targeting all areas of communal contact hourly.
We always strive to keep our facility as clean as possible for our pets and community.
Our Vaccine Clinic
We want to continue vaccinating your pets. Here are a few things we are implementing to minimize the amount of people in any given space and reduce the stress our pets face during vaccine clinic visits.
- We ask that ALL pets stay in your vehicle when you check-in. We will have staff members to notify you when it’s your turn to meet with our vet.
- We have moved our Check-In table to the front of our building. This allows a quick verification of your requested vaccines. Once you have checked-in, we will ask you to wait in your vehicle. Staff will notify you when it is your turn to come in.
- We will NOT be taking walk-ins. We will have staff available to help book appointments online for upcoming clinics.
Our life-saving mission still depends on your support during this difficult time of uncertainty.
Our Thrift Store
Our life-saving mission still depends on your support during this difficult time of uncertainty, so we hope you’ll continue visiting our thrift store location. We’ll assure you that we always strive to keep our facilities as clean as possible for our community, however, we’ve added the following measures to ensure safe visits:
- We have added handwashing stations near the entrance so people can wash their hands before checking out our inventory.
- We have implemented a “wipe down” system every hour. Our staff has always been diligent about mopping and cleaning commonly touched surfaces but now we’re targeting all areas of communal contact hourly.
