Thank you for your interest in volunteering with SPCA of Northern Nevada. By giving your time and compassion, you’re helping pets in our community feel safe, supported, and loved.

If you’re a new volunteer, please start by creating a Volunteer Profile. Once your profile is complete, you’ll be able to sign up for trainings, volunteer shifts, special events, or get started supporting our lifesaving mission at the SPCA-NN Thrift Store.

Volunteering with SPCA-NN is flexible, meaningful, and available at both of our locations. Whether you’re able to give a little time or a lot, your presence plays a vital role in the lives of pets and the people who love them.

Youth Volunteer Guidelines
To ensure the safety of both our volunteers and the pets in our care, the following age requirements apply:

• Minors must be at least 8 years old to interact with cats

• At least 12 years old to interact with dogs or volunteer at the Thrift Store

• Minors under 16 must volunteer with a parent or guardian present at all times

• Minors 16 and older may volunteer independently with prior written approval from a parent or guardian
