Court Ordered Community Service

Members of the community that must complete mandatory community service hours for court are able to fulfill their requirement for court with the SPCA of Northern Nevada if they qualify within our parameters. The community service program is completely separate from the main volunteer program so the protocol is different including the sign up process, expectations, and tasks.

The SPCA of Northern Nevada’s court ordered community service program only accepts two types of offenses:

  • DUI or Traffic Tickets (reckless driving, Speeding, No-blinker, expired registration, etc.)
  • MIC/MIP (Minor in Consumption/Possession): Weed/Alcohol

Volunteers under the age of 18 in need of community service must complete their hours with a parent/guardian present at all times. Minors must be at least 15 years old.

Please call the Community Service Coordinator directly at 775-324-7773 x 208 to learn more and get signed up.
