When Egg came into our care, she was a frail, tiny kitten in need of our help.

Our rural rescue partners brought her litter to us for the help they needed to grow healthy and thrive.
The four kittens lived in a foster home where they received the loving care they needed. But, while Egg’s siblings grew, Egg remained tiny.

When it came time to spay and neuter the kittens and to adopt them into homes, Egg still weighed only a pound. Her siblings moved on, and she returned to foster care.

Jessica, our volunteer foster, cared for Egg to help her grow. She and her whole family loved having this spunky little kitten in their home.

But Egg still wasn’t gaining enough weight, which led our clinic team to discover that she suffered from a life-threatening illness. Egg required a special diet, daily subcutaneous fluids, and medicine injections to treat the disease.

We were committed to saving Egg now matter what.

After nine long months, Egg won her fight thanks to your support.

Ultimately, Jessica adopted Egg, and renamed her Pebble.

She now brings so much joy to her family, running and playing with dog and bunny siblings, chasing laser toys, cuddling with her doting family. It’s only thanks to you that Pebble is enjoying the life you helped her fight for and win.

Please, give today to help pets like Pebble. Now through May 16, every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact on pets and the people who love them.
