SPCA of Northern Nevada is proud to partner with PetSmart at Los Altos throughout the year for Adopt Joy adoption events that bring adoptable pets out into the community and give even more people the chance to meet their match.
These special pop-up events make it easy to stop by, meet pets looking for loving homes, talk with our adoption team, and even adopt the same day.

Adopting at Adopt Joy
Our trained SPCA-NN team will be on-site to guide adopters through our standard conversation-based adoption process and help make thoughtful matches between pets and people.
A few things to know before you visit:
- Adoptions are first come, first considered
- Standard SPCA-NN adoption fees apply
- Children must be 5 years or older to adopt a puppy
Because pets at these events can find homes quickly, we recommend arriving early if you’re hoping to adopt a specific pet.
