Animal advocate. Plant enthusiast. Reality TV connoisseur.
Sydney grew up surrounded by pets and always knew animals would be part of her story. That passion led her to work at her hometown animal shelter in Portola, California, where she started as a kennel technician before becoming kennel manager. It was there that she discovered firsthand the life-changing impact of animal welfare and the people behind it.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Nevada, Reno, with minors in Human Resources and Entrepreneurship, Sydney joined SPCA of Northern Nevada. As Communications Manager, she combines creativity with strategy to share the stories of rescue pets, strengthen community connections, and inspire more people to adopt, volunteer, foster, and give. From social media and marketing campaigns to fundraising initiatives, media interviews, and special events, she loves finding meaningful ways to help every pet’s story reach the right person.
Sydney loves being part of an organization where every day brings another opportunity to make a difference for pets and the people who love them.
When she’s not championing homeless pets, you’ll probably find Sydney exploring the outdoors, spending time with family, caring for her growing collection of houseplants, loving on her own pets, or catching up on the latest reality TV drama.
