Born in Wisconsin, Jim began his career as an automotive technician on the east coast. At a young age, he moved with his family to Reno where he worked as an auto technician before making the switch to become a building maintenance technician. Prior to joining the SPCA of Northern Nevada as facilities manager, Jim was a building manager for the Best Bet Motel in Reno for two years, and a property manager for Sierra Well for three years.
Jim loves being a part of the SPCA of Northern Nevada team because he gets to work with great people in a good environment, and loves knowing how appreciated he is.
In his free time, Jim likes to dirtbike with his wife of six years and teach others how to dirtbike. Prior to retiring, Jim won seven northern Nevada regional motocross championships. Jim also has three chihuahua mixes who inspired him to join our mission of saving pets.
