Dr. Michele was born and raised in New Mexico. She went to college at Colorado State University, where she received both her bachelor’s in biology and her doctor of veterinary medicine degrees.
She relocated to western New York shortly after graduating, where she worked in a small animal private practice. During this time, Dr. Michele was asked to help out at a local shelter in desperate need of help, and this sparked her love of shelter medicine. After working in New York for over 20 years, she longed to get back to the southwest and found Reno to be the perfect location.
In her spare time, Dr. Michele loves to hike in the mountains with her husband and her dog Bucky.
