On December 31, American icon and animal advocate Betty White passed away, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, and a commitment to animal welfare.
Over her lifetime, Betty adopted many pets, worked closely with animal welfare organizations, and was even quoted saying animals gave her more joy than her work as an actor.
In honor of what would have been her 100th birthday on January 17, the #BettyWhiteChallenge encourages people to donate $5 or more to a local rescue or shelter.
